Here are some Frequently Asked Questions (and some that aren’t asked that frequently, but we thought we’d add them anyway). If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please get in touch via the comment box at the bottom of this page.

1. What is Humans Write?

Visit the about us page for more info and background.

2. Why should I bother submitting a blog?

Humans Write only works because people like you share your experiences with the Humans Write community. We think it’s important for travellers to know more about the human rights issues and social environment in the places they visit. There are hundreds of protests and commuity/individual actions that go unreported in travel guides and on the news. Humans Write wants travellers to know about issues that aren’t in the tourist guide.

3. Do I have to write a lot?

No. It can be as much or as little as you fancy.

4. Does it have to be in English?

No. You can submit your blog in any language you like. However, we prefer English because it takes some time to find someone able to translate and do it accurately. As we grow, we hope to launch Humans Write in different languages, so please let us know if you’re interested in getting involved in helping us achieve that.

5. Do I have to be a professional writer?

No! Anyone can write about ANY issue. That’s the beauty behind Humans Write – it allows travellers to share with each other, rather than waiting for mainstream newspapers to cover the issue, if they cover it at all.
